You know when you’ve put in the work and it’s finally paid off? Well, I can’t wait to show you just how far we have come. Here is a before and after post celebrating all of our hard work!

This weekend, my husband planked the ceiling for our sunny colonial style bedroom that has been gradually coming together over time – floor refinishing was followed by electrical updates; wainscot installation soon came next along with painting until now where he topped them both off with this beautiful plank ceiling.

In order to really unwind after a long day of work and school, your bedroom should be the place where you are able to completely relax. Minding every little detail in this space allows for more peace as you retire at night because it will remind that everything is alright now.

One way I like to do this is by adding unique features such as ceiling treatments which can help create an atmosphere of relaxation into the room on top of calming colors or wall art with soothing surroundings or imagery.
